Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How long does it take for my account to be activated?
A: Accounts are usually activated within a 24 hour period or after confirmation of payment.

Q: I don't have a credit card, what other methods of payment is there?
A: You can use PayPal to send payments.

For bank deposits (for Philippine customers only). Please click here.

Q: How long does it take for everyone to access my website?
A: Setup is a few hours after confirmation of payment.

However after this time period, it truly depends on all networks and ISPs of the world to update their servers and lookup your new domain name. Some popular dial-up ISPs take less then 6 hours to update their servers, while others will take more than 2 days.

So if you are still using a dial-up connection to the Internet, make sure you have a reliable ISP that promptly updates its DNS servers, so you can access your domain right away.

Q: How do I transfer my domain to your servers?
A: Here are the steps to move your domain to our servers from another hosting company. Sign up for the hosting plan of your choice now.

After you sign up, we will send you login instructions and the name servers you need to use to transfer your domain.

You can upload the files to your site using the login information we will provide for you. You will then take the name server information we provide you and submit a request to the registrar where your domain is registered to have the DNS of your domain modified.

Once the modifications to your domain have been completed and the changes have had time to resolve throughout the Internet you would cancel your old hosting account. If you do the steps in this order, you should experience no downtime to your domain.

Q: What if I exceed my bandwidth allowance?
A: Your site will be temporarily inaccessible. To avoid this you should inform us that you are willing to pay additional bandwidth fees or upgrade your current plan that will fit your website traffic.

Q: What if I need to upgrade/downgrade my account plan?
A: You are free to upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime during your stay with us. There are no additional charges for your change of plan. Just contact us.

Q: Do you support ASP?
A: No, we do not support ASP. ASP is not very stable on Linux based servers as they are meant for Windows NT based servers.

Q: Do you support ColdFusion?
A: Unfortunately, due to the incompatibility of Linux based servers housing ColdFusion, we do not support this software.

Q: Do you support JSP and its servelets?
A: No, we do not support JSP and its servelets as they are not meant for Linux based servers. Overseeing this requirement brings the server speed down, even to a crawl at times.

Q: What is the Path to.... ?
A:
My home Directory: /home/username/public_html/
Path to ImageMagick: /usr/local/bin
Path to PERL: /usr/bin/perl
Path to sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail
Path to Python: /usr/bin/python
Path to Date: /bin/date
Path to Whois: /usr/bin/whois
Path to PHP: /usr/local/bin/php or /usr/bin/php
Path to your Cgi-bin: /home/username/www/cgi-bin
Replace username with the cpanel username for the account the script is under. Please note that the paths only go as far as the directories above and you may need to add on to them for the specific file or directory your script is calling for.
